Xmap is a useful component for Joomla! sites. You can generate the map of your site in a really simple way with its help.
The html-format sitemap can be placed on a link or in a menu so that it can be reached on the site. An xml-format sitemap also can be produced that you need for search engine optimization, i.e. Google index. The map is regenerated on every load, in this way updates and changes wouldn't be missing. On large and complex portals it can cause slow loading, but you can apply cashing. The component supports creating many sitemap at a time. It has a significance if the administrator wants to show menus only for the registered users, so the content that can be reached only by them is shown only on their map. The component has one error: on the back-end there are problems with the visualisation of the accentuated letter. But very useful that you can specify the priority and change frequency params for each menu. All in all, Xmap is quite good component that can be downloaded from the website of the costarican developers, Guillermo and Jesus Vargas. |
